The older I get, the clearer I see the key to being at peace is complete and utter faithful surrender to God through Jesus Christ. Casting every care on the Lord. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

It isn’t easy. It requires surrendering our plans and ideas / ideologies and biases and fears and hobbies and relationships and careers… everything to the Lord and His will and His Word and letting Jesus be the measure of how we live, what we believe, what we do.

If you think about it, surrender to God is absolutely logical. After all, God is sovereign over everything. I am not. That is far above my pay grade and not part of my job description as a Christ disciple. Best to let God be God and trust that He knows what’s going on and why and how to handle everything.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight your path.
